Terms & Conditions
Wedding Terms and Conditions
Deposit & Booking
In order to confirm your booking and reserve the date, we require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total quoted cost of your flowers. Only after this is received will your booking be secure.
In the event that you decide to cancel your wedding, this deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to postpone your wedding we will hold your deposit until the wedding goes ahead. Please note that payment of the deposit is taken as acknowledgement and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions herein.
Quotation and Payment
We will provide an estimated quote after our initial consultation, based on the
information I am given. Quotes are valid for 21 days.
Prices in the quotation should be taken as a guide only.
If you change your requirements or the cost of flowers/foliage increases significantly then the price will change accordingly. I will inform you of any significant changes as soon as I can.
The final invoice will be sent to you approximately 6 weeks before the date of your
wedding. Payment in full is due at least 4 weeks before your wedding day. All payment is non-refundable.
If payment is not received in full 4 weeks before your wedding date, your order will
not be fulfilled and all monies hitherto paid are forfeit.
Consultations
Your booking entitles you to one free initial consultation and one further face-to-face meeting to finalise details (if required). Any additional consultations are available at a rate of £60 per consultation. A complimentary venue visit is available for orders over £1000.
Please note that if your requirements change considerably, we reserve the right to
charge an additional £100 to cover the time and administrative costs incurred in
creating a new quote.
Cancellations
In the unlikely event that you decide to cancel your wedding, we must be informed
in writing at least 4 weeks before the date of your wedding to avoid being sent the
invoice for the balance of your flowers. If you cancel less than 4 weeks before your wedding date, after paying the final balance, all monies hitherto paid are non-refundable.
Flowers
Our flowers are mostly grown outside and as such are subject to the vagaries of the British weather. If needed, we reserve the right to source flowers from other
British growers in order to fulfil your order. We only ever source other flowers (if needed) from fellow British growers.
Equipment & Containers
All vessels and containers remain the property of River Meadow Flower Farm unless otherwise agreed in the quotation.
We charge a refundable £100 deposit for the hire of our equipment, all of which must be returned to us in the condition you found it in within 48 hours or as agreed. Any chips, cracks or breakages must be paid for.
You will be charged the current purchase price for any damaged goods. If the venue is at fault then the hirer must recoup any costs incurred from the venue.
If you are providing your own containers then please ensure that they are watertight and clean before delivering them to us. A cleaning surcharge of £5 per item will be invoiced and payable prior to the delivery of your wedding flowers if we have to clean them.
Please note that any containers you supply to us are the same size as those upon which the quotation is based. Please contact us for exact measurements. If containers you provide are larger and therefore require more material to fill them then you will be invoiced for any extra material needed.
All property is left with River Meadow Flower Farm at your own risk and we accept
no responsibility for your property.
Photography
River Meadow Flower Farm reserves the right to take photographs of flowers and the setting prior to the wedding which may be used for promotional purposes. Please let me know if you do not want me to use your names on social media.
Responsibility
River Meadow Flower Farm accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage to the hirer or any third party with regard to any equipment hired for use at the event.
All flower displays are for ornamental purposes only. All flowers should be considered potentially toxic or harmful if consumed and urgent medical attention should be sought if flowers/foliage are ingested.
The client shall indemnify and keep indemnified River Meadow Flower Farm against any costs, losses or liabilities incurred by River Meadow Flower Farm howsoever they arise, or as a result of any breach of these terms by the client of their agent(s).
Unforeseen Events
There are certain situations/events which may occur which are not within my reasonable control. Examples include but are not limited to:
Sudden ill health, Adverse weather conditions or Acts of God, Industrial action,
Road traffic accident or severe delays which may make it impossible/unsafe for me to perform any of my services. Where River Meadow Flower Farm is unable to gain access to the venue to carry out the services at the dates/times agreed
Where River Meadow Flower Farm has to wait for other providers of services who have been engaged by you to complete their work before I am able to perform my services If I (Rebecca Davies) am unable to personally complete or deliver your event due to ill-health or other circumstances beyond my control, then this will be completed by a member of my experienced freelance team or outsourced to another appropriate florist.
In the unlikely event that I am prevented from providing my service or product as agreed then I can only offer a refund of monies paid. In the event of any dispute, the value of any compensation or refund will not exceed the value of the goods ordered.
By accepting this quotation and paying the deposit, you thereby accept the Terms and Conditions above.
