About us

Here at River Meadow Flower Farm, we specialise in growing Cottage Garden-style flowers and foliage on our south-facing hillside in the Brecon Beacons. We believe wholeheartedly that Mother Nature knows best, so we allow her to thrive by gardening organically. We only sell our flowers locally and we only ever use Peat-Free compost. Our commitment to sustainability is at the very heart of everything that we do and we are thrilled to be a small part of re-introducing British people to the joy and heart-stopping beauty of British-grown flowers.

We believe that it is absolutely possible to enjoy beautiful luxuries like cut flowers without it costing the earth (quite literally!). That’s why we are committed to the Slow-Farming movement, meaning our flowers are only ever grown in tune with the seasons. You can expect Narcissi, Tulips, Camassias and Alliums in Spring; Roses, Delphiniums, Verbena and Antirrhinum in Summer; Dahlias, Chrysanthemums and Japanese Anemones in the Autumn, to name but a few. We’re confident that the wondrous variety, scent and colours of our flowers will astound and delight you.

We are located on a working hill farm, which has been in the Davies family for 7 generations. As a husband-and-wife team, we established River Meadow Flower Farm in 2022, with a view to farming flowers as sustainably as possible. In short, this means no foreign imports, no chemicals and no peat.

Our flowers are grown seasonally, available only from April to September. We can’t wait to introduce to scented, characterful, unusual flowers that have been grown locally with love and consideration for our earth. Look out for our Delphiniums and Lupins, in particular! They’re our speciality.
